My wife has ravaged more Apple earbuds than I care to mention so we got these for her.
She's not an audiophile, just likes to listen to her streaming radio, a podcast or two, and talk on the phone. For these tasks these headphones have been fine.
She says they sound great to her, people can hear her when she's on the phone, and they're cheap enough that we bought 3 pairs.
Of course that last "feature" appeals to my cheap, er.., frugal nature but the fact that they sound good and the mic functions correctly makes me happy cuz I know she's happy!
So, at the risk of getting flamed, these have been a great buy for us so far and when the 3 pair break I'll buy some more.

They are light easy to work out with and amazing bass sound. I have been using the Sony bass ear buds(nice sound) but I had to replace the ear piece a lot. The first one I received was faulty, with no sound coming from the right side. But Zeetron sent out a replacement immediately with no questions asked, which worked perfectly.
Looks to me like these are genuine Apple parts.
The only thing I didn't like was having to do an install twice since the first didn't work, but all is well that ends well.
This is the entire assembly - hold switch and all - and not just the headphone jack.
This does not come with instructions. Just Google 'Ipod Video replace headphone jack' for a tutorial. IFixIpodsFast has a very clear, very precise How-to video, too.
Or Youtube, of course.
Does not come with tools, either. You might get away with using a guitar pick or a similar tool, though. A tiny Phillips screwdriver (for repairing glasses) is also required. The screws are super tiny, so make sure you have good vision and good lighting.
Recommended.

I dropped my iPod which caused the headphone jack to intermittently work on only one side. I was resigned to pay whatever it would cost to fix at the Apple store, but I googled "replace headphone jack ipod' and found many videos that provide good instruction on how to do it yourself. I had never opened my iPod before.
This headphone jack arrived within 3 days. Great service.
The insides of the iPod are easy to figure out but all parts are tiny as expected. You must have a jewelers number '0" Phillips head screwdriver to do the work, but that's it for tools. The screws are difficult and took the most time, but the connections are simple and they are held down with tabs.
Maybe I was just excited to get the iPod working properly again, but I had the same experience that others here mentioned -- this headphone jack seems to sound better with smoother bass and better separation.
Highly recommended if you are at all handy!

I use EARBUDi for my iPod every time I exercise. I have sensitive ears and used to have Walkman earphones that were made of hard plastic - made me sore behind the ears. When the iPod came out, the earbuds fit fine if I'm sitting at the computer, but when I use my iPod while jogging or riding my bike, they fall out a lot, until I got EARBUDi. They are excellent earbuds but lacks bass but do you really expect that for in-ear headphones?

I bought several iphone (oem) headphones and all of them went bad on me within the first week. These have last two weeks now, so I am pleased. The sound quality is just okay but they seem sturdy.The earpiece feels a bot large, or maybe I have a small ear hole. They tend to fall out rather easily, for me and my wife ( bought two pairs ). Decent pair of headphones for the price.

This product exceeded my expectations. I have a Moto Droid which I listen to music on frequently but the headphone jack has become loose so I wanted to replace with a bluetooth device. I wanted to find something generic that would work with any headphones because I have not found many bluetooth headphones I like. I have several wired varieties I like and just wanted to make them bluetooth. Device works great for that. This alone would have made me happy but I hoped for (and got) play/pause/forward/backward/vol up/vol down controls as well as a decent built-in mic so I can receive calls with it. Clip spring is a little weak so you have to make sure you clip it to something secure. Overall functionality is great and I would recommend it to anyone. The construction is light plastic so I figure it will probably break soon, but for $25 I'll just buy another one.

This is a cool product. I use it when I am riding my motorcycle using a full face helmet. I gave it 4 stars because for two reasons. First, it is a little bit precey. Second, once you try to fit it to your head and ears, you cannot get it back to the original form.

This is a very handy and convenient little 'gadget'. I haven't actually gotten to use it in my car yet, but it is very nice when I'm wanting to use it with my stereo so I don't have a chord lying all over the place. Overal this armband is not all that bad, espcially for the price. I'm 6ft 205 and it fits great over my arms. It can take a beatin and it will keep on going.
However, The elastic band folds and can be slightly uncomfortable. There is no opening for you to push the hold button on your Ipod. So I had to get some scissors and make a hole.
If you are looking for an item that won't cost you an arm and a leg this item is perfect. Best of luck.

The box is awesome. It has a hinge on the bottom side (if you are looking at the photo above) and that allows you to open it to about a 45 degree angle and you can easily slide in your Ipod. Then you close the top and flip the white clamp into place, which you can see at the top of the box. It's all one piece and takes an effortless second to close and open. It seals perfectly---no risk to my ipod---but it does say that the seal is only good to 3 feet. I do laps with mine, so that's all I need.
The company does not say this in the description (I don't know why) but the earphones are 100% waterproof and I think they are the same ones they sell separately for $40 or more.
The armband and earphone were weird when I first tried this product---not weirdly made, just weird to have earphones in your ears when you swim and a cord floating about. But after the first time, I didn't notice any of that. I am so wowed by this product. Basically it is just the box, band and earphones. That thing you see in the top right corner is for wrapping your earphones if you want to use it.
Now I was suspicious about the wheel part because I have bought covers with awful thick plastic and the wheel did not work at all. I actually thought the wheel was left uncovered in this box, it is engineered so incredibly well. I don't know how they do it, but the wheel works easily and there is some sort of hard plastic over it but you don't know it. Also a big wow.
I read in a review about the earphones that they fall out and that a swimmer should get a headband. I did that, but mine do not fall out. The headband was a waste of money.
I will tell you, it makes laps breeze by! I can't say enough good things about this product!
